Hansestaden Visby utvaldes 1995 som världsarvsstad. Under medeltidsveckan får vi en möjlighet att uppleva medeltiden i Visby och på Gotland. Hela Gotland var under medeltiden ett betydelsefullt handelsområde, där komplikationer mellan stad och landsbygd gjorde att Visby ringmur byggdes.
